1.
The survey
We examine
the construction, fibre-type, underlay and fitting. All
of these factors combine to determine the best method for
cleaning a carpet and the correct chemicals.
A dye
test is carried out to ensure colour dyes don't bleed.
Fibre
identification helps us to determine correct use of cleaning
solution and assist pre-judgement on whether stains are
removable.
2.
Comb pile
The
carpet pile is combed first to separate and release matted
pile for more effective dust removal.
3.
Power vacuum
Next
we remove the vast majority of sand, dust and dry soil using
a vacuum cleaner. In addition to removing much of the dirt,
this process lifts many of the fibres to allow access to
the base of the construction in the following steps.
4.
Treat stains
All
the areas of staining are pre-treated with the appropriate
chemical to remove that particular stain.
5.
Pre-spray
An appropriate
pre-spray is applied to dissolve greasy soils, we then agitate
it to the depth of soil.
6.
Deep cleaning
We clean
the carpet using the system and method decided during the
survey.
7.
Hand cleaning
Edges,
stairs and other inaccessible areas are cleaned using a
hand tool.
8.
Realign pile
The
pile is correctly set whilst damp and furniture is replaced
when necessary.
9.
Carpet protector
We apply
carpet protector. This process coats and protects carpet
fibres against future water and oil based spillages. |
